Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail

May 19th – October 31

The Nez Perce National Historic Trail marks the path of the 1877 conflict between the United States Army and the Niimiipuu (Nez Perce) People.

Pursued by the Army, they made their way from their homeland in Wallowa, Oregon, to the Bears Paw Battlefield in northeast Montana.
This exhibit tells the story of their flight and gives the viewer an in depth look at the living culture and traditions of these resilient people.
