26th Annual Ernst Peterson Contest

This year’s theme is Iconic Re-creations: History Buffs & Shutterbugs

How closely can you follow the style of Ernst Peterson, photographically re-create a DaVinci painting, or pose like Marilyn Monroe? We’re looking forward to seeing how creative you can be with this year’s theme! For inspiration on re-creating historic paintings, see what others have done here:

Photographer Ernst PetersonRenowned photographer and Montana native son Ernst Peterson had a far-reaching reputation who’s photographic works were featured in National Geographic, Field and Stream, Sports Illustrated, Newsweek, Colliers, The Saturday Evening Post, and Country Gentlemen. Major calendar companies sought his work, and corporations like Anaconda Company, Dow Chemical, and Montana Power Company used his photos for advertisements and year-end reports.
